East Coast operates an electrified high-speed railway linking London, Peterborough, Doncaster, Leeds, York, Newcastle and Edinburgh.

This year, we’ve been working hard to make travelling with East Coast even better for our customers. The result is the biggest timetable change this flagship route has seen in a generation, with 20 more weekday services, three million additional seats per year and faster journey times.

In First Class, the good news for passengers is that in addition to a new Quiet Coach, complimentary food and beverages are now provided at seat to all First Class passengers, making First Class travel with East Coast even better value for money.

East Midlands Trains is part of the Stagecoach Group plc which also operates South West Trains, Sheffield Supertram, and Manchester Metrolink, plus bus services on the UK and USA. In November 2007 we took over running services on the routes formerly served by Midland Mainline and Central Trains, covering some of the most exciting destinations in the East Midlands.

Our route comprises of two types of services;

London services - High speed, long distance services from London St Pancras International to Sheffield, Derby Nottingham and Leicester.

Local Services - Regional services between Nottingham and Derby/Lincoln/Cleethropes/Skegness/Worksop, between Derby and Crewe/Matlock, and between Norwich and Liverpool.
