Continental Airlines introduce new audio/video on demand

Continental Airlines 757 aircraft now feature a new audio/video on demand (AVOD) entertainment system in both business first and economy cabins.  This includes all 757 aircraft flying routes between New York/Newark Liberty International airport and Belfast, Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Heathrow and Manchester

The new AVOD allows customers to choose from up to 25 movies, 25 short subject programmes and over 500 tracks of music.   Once the system is activated by crew, customer may watch the programming whenever they choose, controlling the programmes with easy to use touch screens to stop, pause, rewind and fast forward.   It also has 20 video games and an interactive Berlitz World Traveller programme that teaches more than 20 foreign languages.

To meet customers needs, Continental Airlines, is also increasing the number of in-seat AC power ports on the Boeing 757.
