India – Health Card required for visits from 17th July 2009.
In view of the spread of the Swine Influenza A (H1N1) all passengers travelling to India will be screened at the International Airports in India on their arrival and will be required to carry a mandatory Health Card at Immigration. Quarantine and even hospitalisation may be involved if any symptoms connected with the flu are detected.
In respect to that, all applicants for a Visa for India are required to fill the Self Declaration Health Card which must be submitted along with the application form. All the applicants are required to carry this health card while travelling to India, and may be required to produce it at Indian Immigration.
The Co-operative Visa Department are required to submit this Self Declaration Health Card along with any visa application form at the application centre duly signed by the applicant.
