The Co-operative are pleased to sponsor the Pride of Britain Awards which celebrates the extraordinary achievements of ordinary people within their communities.  As sponsors of the award, here at the Co-operative we feel privileged that we can help give such unsung heroes the credit they deserve.

Nominate for Pride of Britain Awards 2009.

This is your unique opportunity to nominate a special person who has contributed extraordinary things within your community.  You can choose anyone you think deserves national recognition for their achievement, of any age – be it a friend, or relative, a well-known figure or a local stranger.

Nominations take place either by filling in the online form at www.prideofbritain.com or by completing a form at your local Co-operative Food store, Bank, Retail Travel or Pharmacy branch up and down the UK by 10th July 2009.

Nominate your Hero:

Each award falls into one of the following categories:

  • The co-operative Local Champion
  • Outstanding Bravery
  • Child/Teenager of Courage

  • GMTV Emergency Services
  • Fundraiser of the Year
  • Special Recognition
  • Prince’s Trust Young Achiever

To vote you simply need to explain why you think your unsung hero deserves an award – what your nomination has contributed to the community; how they have shown bravery, or how they have displayed dedication to helping others.
