A New Departure for VLM Airlines and Cityjet
CityJet and VLM Airlines currently operate over 50% of all aircraft movements at London City Airport. In order to further strengthen their position at London City Airport both airlines have received the autonomy to develop the London City network for the business and premium-leisure marketplaces.
This will include a move to a new, unified proposition under the CityJet brand and an increased number of services operated as Air France and KLM code shares. As part of the move, the VLM airlines identity will gradually be phased out and, from next year, CityJet will be the single airline brand. Both airlines will, however, continue to operate under their own air operator’s certificates (AOCs).
For regular customers travelling to London City you will have seen that the Air France ticket desk has already been rebranded as CityJet, while a new, improved website will provide content that will regularly be updated and expanded. The site will allow access to all Air France KLM group e-services, including e-check, e-ticketing and Flying Blue.
