British Airways update

BA has introduced changes to their current seating policy, which allow most customers to pre-assign seating earlier than online check-in.  A general seat (ie. not an exit row seat in World Traveller or World Traveller Plus), can be purchased by most customers at the time of booking and up until online check-in opens at 24 hours before travel.

Exit row seats in World Traveller or World Traveller Plus can be purchased from between 10 and 4 days to travel.  All seat bookings are subject to availability and exit row seating is subject to CAA requirements.

Refurbishment of Edinburgh Lounge

British Airways is now refurbishing its lounge at Edinburgh airport, which will be closed for seven weeks from 2nd October 2009. Inspired by the ‘Galleries’ concept of their flagship lounges at Heathrow, the new lounge will give BA customers more space and seats, a new business suite with WiFi and six computers, and complimentary drinks and snacks. Please note that unfortunately BA is unable to offer alternative lounge facilities during the refurbishment.
