East Midland Trains Update

East Midland Trains – “ Lowering the cost of First Class Travel"

East Midland Trains have reduced the price of many First Class advance tickets, and have also introduced a new flexible First Super Off-Peak ticket from Nottingham, Beeston, East Midlands Parkway, Loughborough and Leicester stations to London. This ticket is up to 36% cheaper than the equivalent ticket available in 2009. Our First Super Off-Peak ticket allows you to travel on any train arriving into London at or after 1129 and allows you to leave London between 1030 and 1515 and at or after 1900 on weekdays.

Twice the Trains to London

East Midland Trains new winter timetable started on 14 December 2009, and brings further improvements to their service, building on the major timetable changes delivered in December 2008, which saw faster trains operating from Sheffield and Chesterfield to London They have significantly enhanced their offering between Sheffield and London with two trains operating every hour to and from the capital throughout the day, Monday to Saturday, giving more choice of trains with a large increase in the number of seats offered on this route every day.

One major enhancement delivered by these additional trains every hour is a service every 30 minutes from London St Pancras International at 25 and 55 minutes past the hour throughout the day Monday to Saturday, giving you more flexibility about when you travel north. Travellers from London also benefit from a service which arrives in Sheffield before 0900 Monday to Saturday for the first time. Ideal for early Business meetings.

A further benefit of this timetable is the addition of a direct service every hour to East Midlands Parkway, which is conveniently located for East Midlands Airport, with regular transfer buses in operation from East Midlands Parkway throughout the day
