Hotels rates on the up for 2010

Stanley Burgess, Hotels and Groups Operations Manager for TCTM Business Travel, has reported that all signs are pointing to increased hotel and conference rates for corporate bookings, particularly in London.  After two years of struggle key brands and most hotels in key locations are set to claw-back losses posted during the economic turndown of 2008/9.

Stanley advised “As ever RevPar is a key feature and analysts from Deloitte posted the following on the ABTN website”:

“The outlook for UK hotels for 2010 is looking brighter, Deloitte said today (September 28). In its quarterly Hotel Market Outlook, the consultants said a “more optimistic picture” was emerging for next year. “

Stanley said “This is indeed a heads-up for those in charge of managing hotel budgets for both corporate and TMCs alike.Forearmed is forewarned and negotiators for 2010 should make the most where possible of any remaining bargains, as some industry officials suggest they are soon to be a thing of the past. “
