How did TCTM respond to the UK Airspace Closure on the 15th April?
A note from Anthony Rissbrook, Managing Director TCTM.
“Now the dust is settling………. I would like to respond to the many messages of gratitude that have been flowing in since and during the volcanic ash episode…. They have been very well received. Our staff did work exceptional hours during the crisis and their commitment to our valued clients is clear. We helped out so many people and so many clients were comforted to know that TCTM was working away on their behalf during the crisis. It is a great feeling to be thanked especially when it is so heartfelt. So THANK YOU for the wonderful feedback.
Nobody would wish for such an event to happen but in our industry it is imperative we have a contingency plan in place for such events. This came into full effect on Thursday 15th April and included extended office opening hours, weekend opening, continual monitoring of airline availability and wait lists, direct liaison with passengers via e-mail, phone and text, regular travel alerts and much more. From the feedback received this contingency plan has proven very successful and we are delighted to have been able to assist you during this very challenging episode.
Thank you
Anthony Rissbrook
