East Coast First – Off Peak - Newcastle to London

East Coast has announced that from 22 February 2010 a new First Class Off Peak fare will be available between Newcastle and London. The price of this ticket will be £229 return, which represents a saving of over 38% off their First Anytime fare, and is also £3 cheaper than their Standard Anytime fare.

This ticket is valid on East Coast services only and has the following restrictions :

• No break of journey is permitted
• For outward  journeys southbound, the ticket is valid on trains timed to arrive King's Cross 10.05 or later, Mon-Fri. Return northbound is valid at any time.
• For outward journeys northbound, the ticket is valid at any time from King's Cross except on trains timed to depart 06.45-07.59 inclusive. Return southbound is valid on trains timed to arrive King's Cross 10.05 or later, Mon-Fri.
