British Airways Executive Club - A new tier with great benefits
Bronze is our new tier between Blue and Silver. From 16th November, Members will achieve Bronze status by earning 300 Tier Points in one membership year. Members of Bronze, will receive the following benefits:
- Business class check-in
- Free seat reservation from seven days before departure (excluding exit row seats)
- 25% Tier Bonus (1.25 Avios) for every mile travelled with us, Iberia and American Airlines
- oneworld® Ruby status benefits when travelling with our oneworld partners
A change in the membership year – making it easier to reach the next tier
From 16th November, Tier Points will not be reset once a new tier is reached. Instead, they will only reset at the end of a member’s 12-month membership period.
For example, if Silver was reached within the membership year, membership year and Tier Points would not automatically reset, but instead Members could keep collecting Tier Points and have the chance to reach Gold in that same year.
If the member reached Gold during the same year, they would then enjoy the tier benefits for the remainder of that year and for the following 12 months.
Tier Point changes
The number of Tier Points which can be earned on longhaul flights will be increasing, giving Executive Club members the opportunity to earn more when they fly.
Also from March 2012 Tier Point thresholds will be aligned around the world for all our members. So that all members will need to earn the same to reach the next tier:
Bronze – 300 Tier Points (including 2 eligible flights)
Silver – 600 Tier Points (including 4 eligible flights)
Gold – 1,500 Tier Points (including 4 eligible flights)
