Italian Transport Strike

A national 24-hour transport strike in Italy is expected on 23 October, which will involve all methods of transport such as flights, trains, ferries and tubes. Strikes are expected to be staggered over a 24-hour period.

All airport and rail staff are due to strike at 12.00-16.00 (Italian time). We have been advised to use these timings as guidance only, as the strikes may run over the times given. There will be delays to operations and you should therefore plan accordingly, leaving plenty of time for transfers.
