Top award for The Co-operative Travel Management
The Co-operative Travel Management has received a top award from Rotherham
Council.
The business took the Best Innovative Supplier in the Council's annual supplier
awards, and Hazel Tinsley, Performance & Project officer at Rotherham Council said:
"The Co-operative Travel Management has demonstrated a real partnership
approach in their business dealings with Rotherham Council, and strives for
continuous improvement through innovation and use of technology.
"The business has implemented a live online booking tool for rail travel which allows
the Council's procurement team to source the best live available rail fares for users
across the Council.
"The implementation of this tool has saved the Council time and resources as instant
bookings can be made without direct intervention from the supplier. In addition, The
Co-operative Travel Management is regularly suggesting new ways of working, and
the team maintains an open mind when suggestions are made."
Joanne Savory, Head of Account Management at The Co-operative Travel
Management, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to win this award, particularly because
of its focus on innovation.
"As a business it is vital that we keep exploring new possibilities both in terms of
technological advances and improving client services and this award is a reflection
of the quality of service we can provide."
