Travel disruptions 06 January
London Heathrow
A severe weather warning is in place across the South East of England, with snow forecast at Heathrow on Wednesday 6th January. The airport is open but suffering delays and cancellations.
London Gatwick
The runway at Gatwick Airport is currently closed for snow clearance.
Stansted Airport
Stansted Airport is open and operating as normal. However, due to the changeable weather at this time of the year, passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journey to the airport.
Manchester Airport
Might be some delays
Leeds Bradford Airport
Due to further snow fall at Leeds Bradford Airport, they are currently experiencing flight delays.
Glasgow Airport
Glasgow Airport is open. However, due to heavy snow and icy conditions across the UK, flights to and from the airport may be subject to delays and cancellations.
Aberdeen Airport
The current cold snap has affected air travel around the UK and Europe, much of which could have an impact on services in and out of Aberdeen Airport.
Cardiff Airport
The Airport is currently closed until 1500 due to adverse weather conditions.
London Luton Airport
Is now closed until 16.30 this afternoon in order to clear snow.
Southampton Airport
Southampton Airport is open and flights are operating. It is anticipated that there may be some knock-on delays as a result of the adverse weather.
Robin Hood Airport
The airport terminal is open however the runway remains closed. It is expected that the runway will reopen sometime this morning.
Durham Tees Valley Airport
Durham Tees Valley Airport has been affected by snow, the termial is still open however the runway is currently closed.
Exeter Airport
Flight departures and arrivals are currently suspended due to adverse weather. The snowfall has caused disruption to services and some flights have been cancelled.
Liverpool John Lennon
Some flights may be affected by the weather conditions
London City Airport
The airport is currently operational but some flight arrivals and departures may be affected due to weather conditions elsewhere.
Blackpool Airport
Due to significant snowfall in Blackpool and across the region, the operations at Blackpool International are currently suspended.
Birmingham Airport
Birmingham Airport is open; however the heavy snow fall over night has led to disruption to flights, including delays and some cancellations.
Bristol Airport
Bristol International Airport is experiencing heavy snow fall and is currently closed until 1400hrs.

Because of poor weather conditions being experienced across many parts of the country, there is a risk of disruption to train services throughout Wednesday 6 January.
